About

Welcome to our blog.  Hopefully we’ll be able to share some quirky thoughts, mouth watering recipes, easy peasy crafts and random household tips!

About Me!

Hi i’m Jess.  I’ve just turned 29, heading for the big 30!  I’ve been married to Neil, coming up 9 years in December.  I have 3 children.  Emily 6, Evie 4 and Jacob 12 months.  I live in Jarrow in the North East of England.  I work part time (2 days) as a senior education practioner in a primary school.  I started out 11 years working full time, but dropped down to part time once the babies came along.  We also have our own family buisnesses doing viny graphics and canvas prints.

I have many interests and hobbies.  Mainly baking, sewing and crafts.  I love spending time with the kids and doing crafts with them.  My home is erm shall we say lived in.  Hence The ( Not So) Perfect Housewife.  I like the ideas of the 1950’s housewife, how the women and family managed during the war and well anything old and to do with the family!  I love going to our local Victorian Town and seeing everything there.  I live in an old house dating back to the 1850s and i have started collecting vintage items!  i love charity Shops and Car Boot sales.

I love spending time with family and friends and hosting little get togethers.  We’ve had a Charity Night Dinner, 80s night, Granny night, Halloween and lots of kids parties!

I’ve wanted to write a blog for a while, but never knew how.  I hope i can bring a little laughter and generate some great ideas, along with keeping a little bit of family history.  Thanks for looking 🙂

Im on the left, with the daft hat!

I’m in the green in the centre with my 2 girls and my erm wife? Tina Turner is next to me!
